Turn the camera block.
Turn the camera block so the lens faces the same direction as the
LCD monitor does.
Place the stand in a flat, stable position, and install the MP-
EG10W on the stand as shown in the figure.
* Select a place where there are no obstacles between you and
the MP-EG10W. If there is an obstacle between the remote
control and MP-EG10W's infrared receiver, you cannot oper-
ate the MP-EG10W with the remote control.
* Be sure to select a stable installation place. Installing the
MP-EG10W in an unstable place is dangerous.
* You can use a generally available tripod for a still camera
instead of the stand.
* The stand can be tilted, but cannot be rotated. Do not force to
turn it.
Hold down the red button at the center of the switch and set the switch to CAM. Viewing the LCD monitor
screen, adjust the angle of the stand.

Install the MP-EG10W.
3
Set the CAM/OFF/PLAY switch to CAM and adjust the angle.
Point the remote control at the MP-EG10W’s infrared receiver
to operate.
* A lithium battery must be inserted into the remote control
(see page 27).
* Be careful that strong light does not strike the infrared re-
ceiver. The remote control distance may be extremely small
or no operation can be done.
