Using Media Navigation (Playback)

Adjusting the volume

When you hear the sound from the built-in speaker, use the ZOOM/VOL button to adjust the volume.
Pressing

1

increases the volume, and pressing – decreases the volume, When this button is pressed, the

volume bar will appear on the left end of the LCD monitor.

* When you connect the MP-EG10W to a TV, be sure to adjust the volume on the TV.

Visual search and frame advance

During visual search and frame advance, you can play moving pictures in the forward or reverse direction.
• Visual search

Forward: Hold down

▲

during playback of moving pictures. File will play forward at a speed approx.

three times the normal play speed, and the last picture of the file will freeze. No audio.

Reverse: Hold down

▼

during playback of moving pictures. File will play in reverse at a speed approx.

three times the normal play speed, and the first picture of the file will freeze. No audio.

• Frame advance

Forward: Press

▲

during play pause of moving pictures, and the file will play in the frame advance

mode. Holding down

▲

will advance frames continuously and stop at the last picture of the

file. No audio.

Reverse: Press

▼

during play pause of moving pictures, and the file will play in the frame back mode.

Holding down

▼

will move back frames continuously and stop at the first picture of the file. No

audio.

Pausing

Press the REC/PAUSE button to pause the playback of moving pictures or a still picture with audio. Press
the REC/PAUSE button again to resume playback.

Audio search

To search for sound of still picture with audio.

Forward: Hold down

▲

during playback of still picture with audio. The sound will be cued and stop at

the end of the file.

Reverse: Hold down

▼

during playback of moving pictures or still picture with audio. The sound will be

reviewed and stop at the beginning of the file.

To select files in the same folder next

Press

▲

or

▼

during file playback (in case of moving picture or still with audio file: stop at the beginning of

file), and the start pictures of each file will appear in sequence. Perform step 3 and after repeatedly.

To select files in another folder next

Press

t

(in case of moving picture or still with audio file: press

t

twice), and the file select screen will be

restored. Perform step 2 and after repeatedly.

• If “FILE ERROR” appears:

If you attempt to play back a file that the MP-EG10W cannot play back, the message “FILE ERROR” will
appear. In this case, the MP-EG10W operation may be malfunctioning. Delete the file to prevent future
malfunction.
