Dividing Moving Pictures
To divide a moving picture file: This is useful when you
edit a moving picture file by dividing an unnecessary
portion and deleting it.
* File once divided cannot be reconnected.
* Only moving picture files can be divided.
* Start Media Navigation (see page 42), play moving pictures, and
then start to divide the file.
* Locked moving picture files cannot be divided: Unlock the files
before dividing them (see page 57).
* You can also use the remote control to operate.

Pause the file at the division point.
To pause playback, press the REC/PAUSE button during play-
back of moving pictures.

Press the MACRO/SHIFT button.
SHIFT will appear at bottom left of the screen.

Display the screen for division.
Press the B.LIGHT/DEL

DIV button. A message for making
sure of file division will appear.
* To stop division, press
t
.

Execute the division.
Press the REC/PAUSE button. The file will be divided, and the
file select screen will be restored. The divided latter half file will
be placed in the original file position in the list, and the former
half file will be placed under it.
* Files of less than 3 seconds cannot be divided. If a file of 3
seconds or more is to be divided and the time of either divid-
ed file becomes less than 1.5 seconds, the file will be divided
at the 1.5-second point.
* If the PC card is full, no file can be divided.
