Hydraulic Pump Replacement 21
Remove the coupling attached to the motor by
pulling out with a pencil magnet.
Clean and inspect all machined surfaces for
contamination, distortion, and wear. Inspect the
inlet suction cover and look for cracks and con-
tamination. Inspect the coupling for wear. Re-
place parts as necessary.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT disassemble Pump fur-
ther. There are No serviceable parts in the
Pump.
Turn Pump Input Shaft by hand and visually in-
spect gear teeth through inlet port. Pump should
rotate smoothly and no teeth should be missing
or damaged. Replace entire Pump if damaged or
if Pump turns hard.

Install coupling onto motor shaft. Lubricate the
pump shaft seal with a multi-purpose grease and
install with lip facing away from pump, smooth
end towards pump flush with end head.

Install O-rings into pump cavities. Re-install
pump by guiding the pump input shaft through
the shaft seal and into coupling. Reinstall the two
pump bolts and torque down to 15-18 ft. lbs.
NOTE:
The Pump Input Shaft will be properly
engaged with the Coupler when the Pump Body
is flat against the valve body. Do Not use Pump
Mounting Bolts to force the pump against the
valve body

Re-install the suction cover to the pump and
torque the two bolts to 4-6 ft. lbs. Start the sin-
gle bolt by hand torque to 13-15 ft. lbs.
