Exicor GEN5 User Manual

Follow these steps to lubricate each actuator:

1. Remove the lubricant cap from the actuator
2. Move the carriage so that the grease fitting on the carriage is aligned with the

lubricant hole in the actuator (see figure below). This will be either near the
center of each actuator’s travel or near the side farthest from the motor.

3. Attach the needle point adapter to the grease gun hose by pressing the fitting

on the adapter into the socket in the hose.

4. Insert 3.6 g of lubricant into the fitting in the carriage. This step is best to

perform with 2 people – one pumping the lever and one pressing the adapter
into the grease fitting.

a. The grease gun supplied with the system will dispense 3.6 g in 4

pumps of the lever.

b. Make sure that the needle point adapter is pressed firmly against the

grease fitting. Double-check that the grease is actually going into the
fitting and not spilling out around the adapter. There should be little to
no grease visible around the fitting if the grease has been inserted
properly.

5. Replace the lubricant cap when finished.

Guide Rail Bearing Lubrication

The recommended lubrication interval for the guide rail bearings is once per year.
See the following figures for the lubrication ports of the guide rail bearings and the
appropriate tool.
