9 Visualization
Data can be read from and written to the slot PLC from a visualization
software with OPC interface (named OPC client in the following text) via the
OPC server.
Therefore a configuration is necessary. The following sections describe the
configuration steps to connect a visualization software via OPC to the slot
PLC.
Requirements
Operational slot PLC, existing of
•
installed hardware
•
installed device driver: cifX Device Driver
•
installed server: netPLC CoDeSys Server
•
the slot PLC already has been programmed with CoDeSys
•
operational PROFIBUS-DP slave device(s), which is/are connected via
a PROFIBUS cable to the slot PLC
Installed OPC server
•
Installed 3S OPC server
The netPLC CoDeSys server must be started and have access to the Slot
PLC.
