Operation
Practical tips
➜ Do not switch off the terminal device, on which S-ware runs to
control the whole system, while processes are running.
➜ Do not connect the terminal device, on which S-ware runs
to control the whole system, to the internet to prevent the
downloading of automatic updates and unintentional shutdown
of the terminal device while processes are running.
➜ It is advisable to equip an S-box with only one multiwell plate.
If equipped with two multiwell plates, the free volume in the
S-box reduces significantly, which can cause the display of
incorrect measured values for temperature, CO 2 concentration
and humidity.
➜ Note that a short acoustic sound is emitted on pushing an
S-box into a slot of the S-rack. This is feedback from the
system that the S-box is securely connected to the S-rack.
➜ As long as S-ware is active, do not make any system settings
and avoid adjusting the system time. This can cause the system
to end abnormally and recording errors can occur.
Switching off the system
The system is switched off via the S-ware. Note that, thanks to the inserted battery,
each S-box is supplied with power for up to two hours after it is switched off.
After switching off the system, disconnect the incorporated S-racks from the gas supply
(close the inlet valves and disconnect hose connections if necessary).
