Commissioning
➜ Connect the inner LAN socket of the master S-rack [8] to the LAN socket of the
slave S-rack [8] or [5], freely selectable. If applicable, connect the LAN socket of
the first slave S-rack to the LAN socket of a further slave S-rack, etc. (the required
LAN cables are included with the system extensions).
➜ Each individual S-rack must be supplied with electricity
separately via the corresponding power adapter.
➜ A cluster is dismantled in the same way but in the reverse
order.

2
supply
The CO
2
supply can be provided via an in-house building connection or from a CO
2
cylinder:

Personal injuries and /or damage to property, loss of pro-
duction
Damage to the pressure reducer caused by too high applied
pressure, as a consequence, uncontrolled CO 2 discharge due to
damaged pressure reducer.
➜ The pressure on the inlet side of the pressure reducer may not
exceed 15 bar.
➜ Check all hose connections regularly for leaktightness and tight
fit, in particular, before opening the CO2 supply.
➜ Use the two available screws to fix the pressure reducer supplied on the back of the
S-rack.
➜ Connect the laboratory gas connection to the inlet of the pressure reducer.
➜ Connect the output of the pressure reducer to the CO 2 connection at the back of the
S-rack.

cylinder
➜ To do so, place the CO
2
cylinder in the compartment provided in the S-mount wall
bracket at the back of the S-rack.
➜ Screw a suitable pressure reducer onto the CO
2
cylinder (the pressure reducer and
CO
2
cylinder for this type of supply are not included and must be provided by the
user).
➜ Connect the output of the pressure reducer to the CO 2 connection at the back of the
S-rack.
