Numeric Keypad
An optional numeric keypad can be used to control floodlights. It is provided for users who do
not have access to mobile phones. The keypad can be added at any time. The Illuminator will
automatically recognise the keypad and start acting on its commands.
Please refer to “Numeric Keypad” for details on how to use the keypad.
Each keypad is supplied with 10m of cable. One end of the cable is terminated in a DB9
connector at the factory. The DB9 connector plugs into Illuminator AUX2 connector. The
Illuminator provides all power and communications signals to the keypad.
The other end of the cable is attached to the numeric keypad screw terminal block as shown
in the diagram below.
NOTES:
1. The keypad is not weatherproof. It must be installed in a suitable location protected
from the elements.
2. Keep the cable as short as possible and route it away from other wiring. This will
minimise any problems that may occur in electrically noisy environments. Do not roll
up excess cable. Instead, cut the unterminated end to size.
3. Some cables may have a blue wire instead of a green one.
