(9) Wrap the cuff above the ankle and apply the probe 

to the posterior tibial artery at an angle of 

approximately 45 to 60 degrees. 

 

Taking Ankle pressure: 

(10) Take the ankle pressure the same way for the 

brachial. (Steps #5 to #6 of this section) Press the 

LEG/TOE button to store it as the ankle pressure 

and the ABI will be displayed as shown in the right. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

(11) Go to the next ankle pressure on the other side. 

 

Note: Press the ARM or LEG / TOE button more than 2 sec to clear the pressure data for the next
