Press the knob or key to move the cursor to the next most significant
digit to change.
Turn the knob to adjust the level at this selected resolution.
Repeat this process to a resolution of 0.1dB or until the desired level is
obtained.
Press the key (or any key) to clear the dialog box.
The current setting for TX level (only if
Source
is not OFF) is displayed on the
LCD under the current date/time in the TXSTATUS area.
NOTE: Setting the TX level, automatically sets TX source to SINE.
Transmit frequency
Set the frequency of the signal transmitted at the TX terminals:
Press the key and then [f4] to select
Frequency.
Turn the knob clockwise to increase, or anti-clockwise to reduce, the TX
frequency.
Press the knob or key to move the cursor to the next most significant
digit to change.
Turn the knob to adjust the frequency at this selected resolution.
Repeat this process to a resolution of 1 Hz or until the desired frequency is
obtained.
Press the key (or any key) to clear the dialog box.
The current setting for TX frequency (only if Source is
SINE
) is displayed on the
LCD under the current date/time in the TXSTATUS area.
NOTE: If the sweeping setting is set to ON, the TX frequency is swept over the
current frequency span.
Sweeping
Press the key and then [f5] to toggle
Sweeping
between
ON
and
OFF
For measurements that transmit a signal to the RTX terminals (eg. Return Loss,
LCL and NEXT / Loss), setting
Sweeping
to
ON,
will perform a swept
measurement across the currently selected frequency span.
When TX
Source
is set to
SINE,
the
Sweeping
setting controls whether the TX
Frequency is swept across the frequency span.
NOTE: Changing Rx Range (manually or during Auto-ranging), resets the TX
frequency sweep.
When
Sweeping
is
OFF
for Remote Loss and FEXT measurements, the level
spectrum at the selected RTX terminals is displayed. If
Sweeping
is set to
ON
for
these measurements, the maximum signal (or Peak Hold) received across the
