Measuring the Blocking Impedance of Line Traps

– Measuring PLC Trap Impedance with LT51
1. Connect the RTX a-b terminals to the PLC Line Trap as shown.
2. Press the key, followed by the [f4] soft-key to set the
“Mag Z”
measurement mode.
3. Set the desired TX frequency, by pressing the key, followed by the
[f4] “TX Freq” soft-key. Use the Knob or Keypad, and then press the
button to clear the Dialog box, or appropriate [fx] soft-key if using keypad.
OR
Press the key to show a graph of the Impedance Magnitude vs.
Frequency over the selected frequency span.
Press the key, followed by the [f1] “Span” soft-key to set the desired
frequency span.
