distance (h)

detection area

object to be monitored

As the distance increases, so do the size of the total detection area and the area detected by

a single sensor pixel. So the object resolution of the IR detectors is a factor of the distance.

Disturbing Influences

Certain  disturbing  influences  can  have  a  negative  impact  on  the  operation  of  the  ADICOS

HOTSPOT-1000, leading to a false alarm:

- Direct sunlight and reflections due to reflective surfaces

- Hot bodies (e.g. vehicle engines and exhaust systems)

- Welding
