General Specifications
Atmospheric Steamer
The Vortex Connectionless Steamer has an electric heated water
reservoir to provide atmospheric steam at a temperature of
approximately 212° F, at sea level. The water reservoir has electric
water level sensors. When filled to the high water sensor, it has
a capacity of four gallons.
Controls
• ON-OFF power button
• 90 minute timer, with a continuous steam setting
• A
HOLD light which indicates when the cavity is at a holding
temperature
• An ADD WATER light to indicate water needs to be added
to the reservoir
Performance Features
• The steamer comes up to ready in about 20 minutes from a
cold start
• A side mounted city fan provides efficient steam distribution
throughout the cavity
• An ADD WATER light to indicate water needs to be added to
the reservoir, or the steamer will automatically shut down
• To drain the water reservoir, turn the drain handle to the
OPEN position, and the water will drain into the drain pan
below the cavity
• 15 second delay before motor starts each time door is
opened
Installation
The steamer requires 208, 240 or 480 volt power supply.
The 208 and the 240 volt steamers can operate on single or
three phase power, but the 480 volt steamer is three phase only.
Water Supply Requirement
No water hookup is required, unless the steamer has the water
option. The water fill option requires a 1/2" diameter water hose,
with a 3/4" hose connector and 30 to 60 PSI water pressure.
Electrical Specifications
Electrical requirement are, 208, 240 or 480 volts, single
(208 or 240 volts steamers) or three phase power supply.
Note: 480-volt steamers are three phase only.
The three phase steamers are shipped with a cord set ready to
plug in.
