5. Make note of the reading on workpiece thick-
ness scale, then lower table 0.035". This is
how much lower infeed and outfeed pressure
rollers should be compared to sanding sur-
face of sanding drum.

Open upper right and left access doors.

Loosen infeed pressure roller jam nuts on
infeed pressure roller, rotate adjustment bolts
(see
Figure 83) to lower infeed pressure roll-
er until it just touches boar
ds, then retighten
jam nuts to secure.
Note: DO NOT continue to lower the pres-
sure roller beyond this point.

Note: Variables such as feed rate, depth of
cut, and the type of sanding belt can play a
big part in determining the proper amount of
downward pressure exerted by the rollers.
Some experimentation may be necessary to
achieve the desired results. However, under
no circumstances should the pressure rollers
be set even with, or higher than, the sanding
roller.
9. Re-install V-belts (refer to Page 54).
10. Lower table and remove 2x4s.
11. Close and secure upper right and left access
doors.
