Scorpion 4, 6 and 8

. At the end of the arm you can attach different
working tools (grass cutter bars, saws, hedge cutters, hedge brushes or barrier
mowers).

The arm consists of 5 cylinders which are controlled via the joystick
from the driver's cabin, see Fejl! Henvisningskilde ikke fundet.

The arm is equipped with ‘break-back’ in both directions. If the tool or
arm collides with a tree or any other fixed obstacle, cylinder 1 of the
arm will allow the arm to move backwards or forwards (if in reverse
gear).
‘Break-back’ only works until the maximum stretch of
the rotating cylinder is reached - If you do not
withdraw hereafter, the arm will bend and/or possibly crack.
The boom mower has installed safety guardings designed to protect the user from
accidental contact with electric valves, accumulators, and hydraulic connections, as
well as to protect components from external debris, blows, etc. The safety guarding
must always be installed on the machine.
Right/left turning models
A right and a left model are made of identical components, the tool is then
mounted/assembled as either a right or a left model.
Basic version, Scorpion 4
The Scorpion 4 boom mowers are also available in a Basic version. This means that
pump and filters are not installed. In the Basic version, the boom mower must be
provided with oil flow and pressure from the vehicle. The operation of the boom mower
and the attachment tool is otherwise identical to the Standard version of the boom
mower.
Plus versions Scorpion 6 and 8
The Scorpion 6 and 8 models are also available in a PLUS version. The Plus models
are produced with larger pumps that operate at higher pressures. See
Specifications.
Strenx steel
The entire Scorpion selection is mainly produced in Strenx 700 high strength steel.
The arm is also constructed in a special design with internal lamellas which - in
combination with the use of Strenx steel - optimizes both weight and strength. In 2019,
GreenTec was
approved as “my inner Strenx” producer by the Swedish steel company
SSAB.
Hybrid Arm System (patent pending)
GreenTec has developed a completely new arm system, which in all its simplicity
means that the arm can be controlled both with and without parallel motion. From
the machine's control panel, it is controlled whether parallel motion is enabled or
not. Operating with parallel motion is especially suitable for hedge cutting - just as
operating without parallel motion is suitable for verge mowing in difficult and narrow
conditions. The arm also has a more compact construction which reduces transport
width. The patent pending arm system offers a lot of possibilities, makes driving
more efficient, and gives the driver a greater feeling of satisfaction in his/her work.
