Starting up after shutdown
There can be many causes for pump and engine failure: cavitation, high pressure,
and contamination
When starting up again after a shutdown, follow these recommendations:
•
Never run out of oil.
•
Never increase the speed of a cold machine quickly. The engine must run at idle
before connecting AND disconnecting the tool engine.
•
Never increase or decrease the speed of the vehicle quickly.
•
The condition of suction hose and pump fittings is checked regularly and
tightened.
•
The rotor must never be started and stopped at max. speed.
•
Avoid sudden movements with the arm - as well as irregularities and bumps on
the ground - as sudden changes in pressure are recirculated to the pump and
may result in malfunctions.
•
Avoid hitting an object with the rotor, for example rocks, as it will induce pressure
changes.
•
Never transport the machine with the PTO.
•
Never choose higher number of revolutions /oil flow than allowed.
•
Never work above the recommended rev/min/oil flow - this will result in
overheating.
