Oil System Calibration
(Oil Level Calibration)
An oil level sensor allows the display to show the approx. percentage of oil remaining in a bag or bucket
of oil. After initial configuration, the unit should not need recalibration for normal use (it may be
recalibrated periodically, as needed, to ensure accuracy). For instructions on how to setup an oil unit
and load oil, reference the Instruction Manual for the oil unit.
To Calibrate a Bag-In-A-Box:
The B.I.B. holds a maximum of (2) 35 pound boxes of oil; one for use and a second box being staged
for use when the first box is empty. Calibrate the Oil Level to indicate when the first oil box is
getting low, thus informing operator to watch oil level/change connection to the second box.
Replace the empty box with a new full box of oil.
The oil level indicator will NOT show FULL
unless a new full box of oil is loaded.
For ANY calibration issues
(ex: ERROR or caught in
a loop), turn unit OFF/ON and restart calibration.
1.
With NO boxes in unit, load 1 FULL box of oil.
2.
Press OK (
sets oil level at 0%).
3.
Load 2nd FULL box of oil.
4.
Press OK
(sets oil level to 100%).
5.
Press OK to confirm calibration complete.
To Calibrate a Bucket Pump:
The Bucket Pump is used with a 50 pound bucket of oil. The oil level indicator is programmed to
show when the bucket is getting low, thus informing operator to watch oil level/load a new bucket.
For ANY calibration issues
(ex: ERROR or caught in
a loop), turn unit OFF/ON and restart calibration.
1.
Place an EMPTY bucket in unit.
2.
Press OK (
sets oil level at 0%).
3.
Load a FULL bucket of oil in unit.
4.
Press OK
(sets oil level to 100%).
5.
Press OK to confirm calibration complete.
ERROR Screen - Oil System Calibration:
There must be a MINIMUM of 10 pounds weight difference between the FULL level and EMPTY
level for the system to recognize the settings. If there is not enough weight difference, or if the
EMPTY level setting is greater than the FULL level setting, the Oil Level Indicator will display an
error. The indicator must be out of error mode to correctly reset the levels.
Press OK
to return to Oil System Calibration.
