2.

Turn the print gap wheel to the

LOAD

position by pushing the top

of the wheel towards the rear of the printer until it stops. See
Figure 2-14a. (On the 5180 model, turn the print gap adjust knob
to the LOAD position by turning the knob fully

clockwise

Note

If the power has been applied to the printer, the fault messages

Paper Out

and

Strikr Bar Open

will appear on the display panel and

the beeper will sound. These will alternately display in the upper
left corner of the display panel until the

CLEAR

pushbutton is

pressed.

Push the paper tension adjustment lever down to position 1. See
Figure 2-14a(b).
