Instructions for the window maker
Read the instructions carefully before starting to install
the product.
Follow all the instructions as incorrect installation can
lead to serious injury. Incorrect installation may be a source of
hazards. Installation must be carried out by professionally
competent staff. Installation, electrical connections and
adjustments must be carried out in accordance with Good
Practice and in compliance with the relevant regulations. The
drive system constructor is not responsible for failure to
comply with Good Practice when constructing the casements
for operation, or for any deformations which may occur during
use. The drive system constructor declines all responsibility
in the event of installation of components incompatible with
safety and trouble-free operation.
The window maker must check that the temperature range
marked on the operator is suited for the place of installation.
The partly completed machine is not suitable for installation in
locations with ionizing radiation; the installation and operating
environment must not generate risks for the operator. The
installation location must be well lit, assuming that the
ambient lighting in the partly completed machine's place of
use is of normal intensity. Do not install the product in
locations with explosive atmosphere: flammable gases or
fumes constitute a serious safety hazard. Inspect the product
for damage before starting installation. Check that the
existing structure has the necessary strength and stability.
Before starting to install the drive system, make all structural
modifications necessary for compliance with the safety
precautions and to protect or enclose all zones with crushing,
shearing or entrainment hazards, or hazards in general.
Before installing the actuator, check that the sash (bottom or
top hung) is in good mechanical condition, correctly balanced
and opens and closes properly.
Make sure that during the opening and closing movement
there are no collisions between the sash and frame and that
the sash does not hook onto the frame. The sash must have
free movement.
After installation, make sure that the mechanism is properly
regulated and that the system protection and each manual
release work properly.
Before connecting the electricity supply, check that the
nameplate data are the same as those of the electricity supply
system.
Install a switch/omnipolar circuit breaker with contact opening
gap at least 3 mm (not supplied) on the electricity supply line.
Check that the upstream electricity supply system includes a
suitable RCD and overcurrent protection.
Packaging materials (plastic, polystyrene, etc.) must be
disposed of properly and must not be left within reach of
children as they constitute potential hazards. Genuine parts
must always be used when repairing or replacing products.
If the partly completed machine is installed in a position not
easily accessible to the operator, the structures needed to
access the working zone must be provided by the user in
accordance with the relevant safety regulations.
Safety Recommendations and Rules:
- N.B. The system is tested to withstand a maximum wind of
40 km per hour with the sash open. It should therefore be
connected to a wind-rain guard control unit (Pv1) and an
anemometer should be used.
- GIESSE products should be installed by industry specialists
who provide guarantees of the necessary technical
competence.
- Proceed in accordance with the constructor's instructions.
- The window maker must ensure that the device is installed
and operates correctly.
- Use of the product for purposes other than the intended
purpose or misuse is forbidden.
- Use genuine spare parts.
- Hazardous parts of the actuator must be installed at least 2.5
m above floor level.

Cet appareil peut être utilisé par des enfants âgés
de 8 ans et plus, ainsi que des personnes atteintes
de déficiences physiques, sensorielles ou
m e n t a l e s , a y a n t u n e e x p é r i e n c e e t d e s
connaissances insuffisantes, à condition qu'ils
soient sous la surveillance ou qu'ils aient été
instruits sur l'utilisation de l'appareil et sur les
risques qu'il en découle. Les enfants ne doivent
pas jouer avec l'appareil. Le nettoyage et la
maintenance sont des opérations destinées
exclusivement à l'utilisateur et elles ne peuvent en
aucun cas être confiées aux personnes citées ci-
dessus sans surveillance.
Giesse déclare que l'émission sonore de la
quasi-machine correspond à < 70 dB(A).
Le lieu d'installation de l'opérateur doit avoir un
éclairage naturel/artificiel suffisant conforme
a u x n o r m e s e n v i g u e u r d a n s l e p a y s
d'installation.
Dans tous les cas, l'éclairage devra être
uniforme, garantir une bonne visibilité en tout
point et ne devra pas créer de reflets dangereux
et d'effets stroboscopiques.
Cette quasi-machine ne doit pas entrer en
service avant que la machine finale sur laquelle
elle doit être incorporée n'ait été déclarée
conforme, le cas échéant, aux dispositions de
la Directive machines 2006/42/CE.
L'opérateur doit être installé sur une fenêtre (ne
faisant pas partie de la fourniture) et peut
éventuellement être équipé d'une télécommande
radio et/ou de toute autre type de commande ou
encore d'un système anti-incendie.
La fenêtre devra disposer de systèmes de soutien
et de sécurité adéquats. L'opérateur ne peut pas
être considéré comme un dispositif chargé de
soutenir ou de sécuriser la fenêtre.
Ne pas entrer dans le rayon d'action de la fenêtre
durant le mouvement.
La fenêtre doit être équipée de compas limitateurs
appropriés à son poids.
Ne pas enrayer le mouvement de la fenêtre
motorisée afin d'éviter toute situation dangereuse.
Ne pas entrer dans le rayon d'action de la fenêtre
motorisée durant le mouvement. Éviter d'intervenir
à proximité des paumelles ou des organes
mécaniques en mouvement.
Recommandations pour l'installateur :
- Vérifier si les composants de la menuiserie
assurent la course complète de l'opérateur. Dans
le cas contraire, ils risquent d'endommager les
éléments mis en jeu ainsi que l'opérateur.
- L'opérateur a une force de traction de 300 N et
une poussée de 150 N. Les points de fixation des
accessoires doivent pouvoir supporter les efforts
prévus.
- Vérifier régulièrement l'installation pour exclure
tout déséquilibre au niveau du montage, tout signe
d'humidité ou autre dommage au niveau des
câbles et de la chaîne.
- Ne pas toucher la chaîne pendant l'actionnement.
- Couper l'alimentation électrique durant les
opérations d'installation et d'entretien.
- Installer les parties dangereuses de l'opérateur à
plus de 2,5 m du sol.
- Durant l'installation, le nettoyage et l'entretien,
toujours porter les équipements de protection
individuelle ci-après :

- risque d'organes mobiles en mouvement sur
l'opérateur.

Recommandations pour l'utilisateur:
Conserver cette notice et la fournir à toute
personne chargée d'utiliser l'opérateur. Ces
recommandations sont strictement liées à l'article
et l'utilisateur doit se trouver en leur possession.
Les lire attentivement car elles fournissent des
indications importantes sur la sécurité en phase
d'installation, d'utilisation et d'entretien.
Ne pas utiliser le dispositif s'il nécessite d'être
réparé ou réglé. Couper l'alimentation pour
nettoyer l'appareil ou pour toute autre opération de
maintenance.
En cas de panne ou de dysfonctionnement,
débrancher l'interrupteur d'alimentation, ne pas
chercher à réparer l'appareil mais s'adresser
exclusivement à des techniciens professionnels
compétents. Toute opération de nettoyage,
entretien ou réparation est réservée à des
techniciens professionnels compétents.
L'installation, l'entretien et la réparation doivent
être documentés et mis à disposition de
l'utilisateur.
