Control via external aquarium computer
Each TESZLA lamp has an interface that allows connection to an aquarium computer with 1-10 V output and
therefore to the external controls of each individual lighting group. Depending on the computer a wide range of
lighting scenarios may be implemented.
NB: The TESZLA Computer Interface (item 20.171.032) is necessary for connection to the external
aquarium computer. Connect it to the lamp via the USB interface (Fig.6 - B) on the rear of the unit,
then connect your aquarium computer to the interface. Never connect the fixture without an interface!
To switch the on-board electronics to external control when the lamp is in operation hold down the RB button
followed by the ENTER button. This will switch off the internal electronics, and the three lighting channels can
now be controlled only via the connected aquarium computer.
Internal fan
On startup of the lamp the internal fan starts up a short test run. With increasing internal temperature the fan is
activated in stages. Overheat control ensures an emergency shutdown in the event of the lamp temperature reach-
ing a maximum level, with the fan continuing to deliver cool air. The LEDs are switched back on once the lamp
has cooled down.
QUAZAR – LED Module
Important:
This lamp is not suitable for use under water. It must be mounted and operated securely
at least 2 cm above the water level.
The low-profile design and light weight of your QUAZAR light
module also makes it possible to install the module beneath aquarium covers close to the water sur-
face. The greater the distance to the water surface the greater the light scattering achieved.
Important:
The top of the light module can heat up to 60°C during operation. This ensures an opti-
mum LED heat dissipation. Ensure that the rear of your lamp is not covered with combustible or
flammable materials and that there is sufficient distance to surrounding surfaces for the best possible
heat release.
