In general on Data Aire gForce floor units, the filters are removable from the front of the unit
unless otherwise specified.
NOTE:
Replace the air filters with same filter size and type. Any new
filters manufacturer must be U.L. and CSA approved (Classified).
9.5.1. Downflow Unit Filter Replacement Procedure
•
Turn OFF the disconnect switch to all remote electric facility power to the unit with the
external disconnect.
•
If a return duct is not installed, use an OSHA approved stepladder or ladder, to remove
filters from the top of the unit. If a return air duct is installed, the filters can be removed by
opening the access door(s) and lifting the filters out through the doors.
•
Replace with new filters of equal size and type.
•
Install the filters in with the proper direction of the airflow.
•
Test the operation of the filter differential pressure switch. The unit door(s) must be in place
and closed for proper differential pressure setpoint.
•
Turn ON the electrical facility power to the unit. After the controller completes the self-
checks, the fan or blowers will start.
•
Temporarily cover approximately 75% of the return air opening using heavy cardboard or
similar material to adjust the filter differential switch.
•
Adjust the switch setpoint, if necessary.
9.5.2. Upflow Unit Filter Replacement Procedure
•
Turn OFF the disconnect switch to all remote electric facility power to the unit with the
external disconnect.
•
Open the front access door(s) and remove the filters by lifting them up and maneuvering
the filter downward and out of the unit.
•
Replace with new filters of equal size and type.
•
Install the filters in the proper direction of the airflow.
•
Test the operation of the filter differential pressure switch. The unit door(s) must be in place
and closed for proper differential pressure setpoint.
•
Turn ON the electrical facility power to the unit. After the controller completes the self-
checks, the fan or blowers will start.
•
Temporarily cover approximately 75% of the return air opening using heavy cardboard or

•
