K. The probe from the
patient is inserted
but when operating
in
AUTO CONTROL
MODE
, the
PATIENT display
goes blank, alarm
sounds, and the
SETPOINT/
STATUS display
reads CHECK
PROBE or BAD
PROBE.
Other than a 400 Series
probe was inserted in the
probe jack.
The patient probe has
become dislodged from
the patient and sensing a
temperature below 30°C
(86°F).
Replace with the correct 400
Series probe (refer to Figure (6-
9.)).
Reinsert probe into patient.
The probe is defective.
Replace probe with a new 400
Series probe.
Cable from the probe jack
to microprocessor board is
disconnected.
Reconnect cable. See Section (5-
14.).
Probe jack on side of unit
is defective.
Replace probe jack assembly.
L. The unit is operating
in one of the three
modes and the
PATIENT display
shows an erratic
display.
Patient probe is
improperly attached to
patient.
The patient probe is
defective.
Microprocessor board is
defective.
Check the placement of the
probe. See Section
(3-1.).
Replace with a new 400 Series
probe.
Replace the microprocessor
board. See Section (5-14.).
