6.2.2 Sensor Housing

General Monitors offers an explosion proof housing that is rated for use in Class I,
Division 1, Group B, C & D or European Zones 1 & 2. hazardous locations

(see Figure 64). The housing entries are tapped for

¾

NPT threads. The sensor

connects to one of these entries, while the other entry is for conduit runs. The lid of the
housing is also threaded to allow the user to gain entry to the sensor connections in the
field.
