Testing the Modem

Use the

Modem Test

to test the internal and the external modem.

Connect the device to an active analog phone line.
Ensure that the phone line is active. If you connect to an inactive phone line,
the test result may be a false negative.

Diagnostic Tests

window as described in

“Accessing the System

Diagnostics Function” on page 33

.
