4.3 CIRCULATION
Intraosseous (I/O) Bone
HAL has the intraosseous (I/O) bone feature
located in his right lower leg. The I/O bone may
be left empty to simulate an infusion when drilling
in. Likewise, the I/O may be filled with Gaumard
synthetic blood to simulate a blood withdrawal.
To fill the I/O with Gaumard synthetic blood:
1.
Remove the right lower leg skin cover.
2.
Remove the I/O bone and use the I/O fill kit
syringe to fill the bone with synthetic blood.
3.
Press the two parts of the I/O bone
together and insert it to the right leg
cavity where the bone is held.
