Note:
At the brim of the lid and at the sealing nut, seals are mounted. Always handle the
seals with care to avoid damage and leakage.
5. On the inner side of the lid remove the cover of the steam vent. For this, twist the
cover and then pull it out. Handle the cover with care to avoid distortions.
6. Gently pull the lid seal out from around the brim of the lid.
7. Remove the drip cup at the rear of the appliance by gently pulling the bottom of
the drip cup away from the housing of the appliance.
CLEANING THE APPLIANCE
WARNING:
Do not spill or pour any liquids on the exterior of the hou-
sing, the control panel, or in the heating compartment.
Do not immerse the
housing, power cord, or power plug in water or any other liquid to avoid the risk of
electric shock.
Always ensure that the appliance and all its parts are out of
reach of young children.
Do not use any hard or sharp-edged objects, corrosive chemicals, abrasive cleaners,
metal scouring pads, or hard or sharp-edged utensils for cleaning the appliance as
this could affect or damage the surfaces. DO NOT scratch in the cooking pot with
any hard or sharp-edged objects to avoid damage to the ceramic coating. Be care-
ful when cleaning the LCD screen and seals to avoid scratches. Do not use violence.
8. Wipe the LCD screen with a soft damp cloth. However, do not clean the LCD
screen with a dry cloth or abrasive cleaners as this may scratch the surface.
9. Wipe the heating compartment, condensate groove at the upper brim of the hou-
sing, the exterior of the housing, and the power cord with a soft, damp sponge.
Clean the exterior of the cooking pot, the heating plate, and the temperature
probe thoroughly, ensuring there are no residues on the surfaces. To ensure pro-
per contact, the cooking pot must sit flat on the heating plate and temperature
probe without any obstacles.
A non-abrasive liquid cleaner or mild spray solution may be used to clean
the heating compartment to avoid build-up of stains. Apply the cleaner to the
sponge, NOT to the surfaces of the appliance.
Note:
Steam always sweeps away a little fat and proteins from the food, that will con-
densate at the valves, steam vent, safety locking pin, and at the seals. Thus, it is
necessary to clean these parts after each use to avoid build up of residues. Handle
the parts with care to avoid damage.
