Do not hold your hands, arms, face, or any delicate object over or near the cooking

pot to avoid injuries and damage. Protect your hands and arms with oven gloves.
7. If you wish to take out your food, protect your hands with oven gloves and take

out the cooking pot from the heating compartment. Ensure to place the cooking

pot only on a surface resistant to heat, fat, and moisture and where the cooking

pot will not tilt, wobble, or fall.

8. Perhaps, you wish to continue cooking. For this, add the necessary amount of

liquid and further ingredients according to your recipe and start the new cooking

cycle as described above. Be aware that liquids and fresh food could splash,

when touching the hot cooking pot.

Note:

After 5 minutes of inactivity, standby mode will be activated. The control panel

will get dark.

THE SAUTÉ FUNCTION

The SAUTÉ function is ideal for softening and caramelising garlic, onions and smal-

ler pieces of food prior to pressure or slow cooking.

WARNING:

When adding liquids or fresh food into the hot cooking pot, juices

and liquid could splash vigorously. Keep your hands, arms, face and any delicate

objects in appropriate distance, to avoid injuries and damage. Protect your hands

with oven gloves.
Do not use any hard or sharp-edged utensils for stirring, cutting, or scratching in the

cooking pot to avoid damage to the surfaces. Only use wooden or plastic cooking

utensils.
1. Prepare the Multicook for operation (see: ‘Preparing the Cooker for Operation’),

but leave the cooking pot empty.

2. Turn the START/Select dial until the indicator reaches the SAUTÉ function.
3. Open the lid and keep the lid open in the stable open position.

Note:

If the lid is locked, an acoustic signal will sound and “OPEN LID” will appear on

the LCD screen. However, the Multicook can only detect, whether the lid is locked

via the lid knob. Ensure to lift the lid to the stable open position. Otherwise, the

SAUTÉ function will not work properly.

4. Press the START/Select dial to confirm the SAUTÉ selection.

The STOP/CANCEL button backlight will illuminate red, the LCD screen will illu-
