Problem
The Easy Solution
You cannot open the lid
at the end of the cooking
cycle or it is difficult to
open the lid.
Press the RELEASE button until the internal pressure is released completely. Thereafter
try again.
If this occurs frequently, the cooker may need to be adjusted to the altitude of your
location. See: ‘Adjust the Altitude’.
NOTE: The safety locking pin will drop when the lid can be opened.
Turn the lid knob clockwise and counter clockwise. Keep in mind that steam could
escape from the lid.
Ensure that the safety locking pin can move freely up and down.
Ensure that the pressure release valve is oriented correctly. The nose must face to the
centre of the lid.
Assemble the lid correctly ensuring there is no gap between lid arm and the lid. The
sealing nut should be screwed up tightly. Also ensure that the lid seal is fitted correctly.
Clean the lid seal. See: ‘Reassembling the Appliance’.
Inspect the lid seal for any cracks or cuts. See: ‘Care and Cleaning’. Replace the lid
seal, if required.
The safety locking pin does
not rise in the PRESSURE
COOK function (unable to
build pressure).
Ensure that the pressure release valve is in place and oriented correctly. The nose must
face to the centre of the lid.
Add more liquid/food to the cooking pot.

The cooker automatically
switches to keep warm
without going through a
complete cooking cycle.
Add more water to the cooking pot and restart the cycle.
You cannot close the lid.
The lid lock must be in the open position to close the lid. Turn the lid knob counter-
clockwise to the stop, then try again.
Water is collecting on the
benchtop.
Ensure the Multicook is placed on a flat level surface and that the drip cup is assem-
bled on the back of the cooker. See: ‘Preparing the Cooker for Operation’.
Empty the drip cup. See: ‘Care and Cleaning’.
