IMPORTANT:
You cannot open the lid, if the heating compartment is still under
pressure. Wait until pressure decreased to normal air pressure.
The steam release method can be changed at any time. Additionally, pressure
can be released at once during the steam release cycle by pressing the RELEASE
button. However, you should leave the steam release cycle operate until the inter-
nal pressure reaches air pressure. At the end of the steam release cycle, the coo-
ker alert will sound, the LCD screen will illuminate blue and the timer will count
up time.
If KEEP WARM is selected, the appliance automatically switches to keep warm
and “KEEP WARM” is shown on the LCD screen. As a default, your food will be
kept warm for up to 2 hours (see: ‘The KEEP WARM Function’).
12. If the appliance is in KEEP WARM mode, you may interrupt or cancel the KEEP
WARM function at any time by pressing the STOP/CANCEL button once or
twice.
After all programmed steps have been finished, a signal sounds and the LCD screen
is illuminated blue again.
WARNING:
If the lid will not unlock, the appliance is still under pressure.
Do
not force the lid open as any remaining pressure can be hazardous due
to large amounts of hot steam, liquids and splashes escaping.
Hold the
RELEASE button pressed until the internal pressure is released completely and the lid
can be opened.
After operation, the appliance and all parts of it, especially the lid and interior /
heating compartment, will be hot. Additionally, even after steam release, a lot of hot
steam and condensate may escape from under the lid, when opening the lid. Only
touch the appliance by the handles.
Ensure to protect your hands and arms
with oven gloves to avoid scalds, when taking out the cooking pot.
Do
not place the hot cooking pot on surfaces sensitive to heat, fat, or moisture to avoid
damage.
13. Protect your hands with oven gloves and open the lid. Doing so, be aware that
hot steam and condensate could escape from under the lid. If you cannot open
the lid, hold the RELEASE button pressed to open the pressure release valve until
the pressure in the heating compartment drops sufficiently.
To open the lid, turn the lid knob counter-clockwise and carefully lift the lid into
the stable open position.
14. Take out the cooking pot from the heating compartment. Ensure to place the
cooking pot only on a surface resistant to heat, fat, and moisture and where the
cooking pot will not tilt, wobble, or fall.
