Ensure the machine is plugged in and the POWER but-
ton is pressed to on.
Water tank is empty.
Fill fresh cold water into the water tank.
The selector switch is not on
espresso position.
Turn the selector switch to espresso position.
Espresso grind is too fine.
Use a ground coffee suitable for espresso machines;

Espresso grind tamped too
firmly.
Do not tamp the ground coffee too tight in the filter;
see: ›Useful Tips‹.
The filter is blocked.
Clean the filter. You can clear the pores of the filter
with the cleaning tool; see ›Care and Cleaning‹.
Espresso runs out too
quickly.
The espresso grind is too
coarse.
Use a ground coffee suitable for espresso machines;
see: ›Useful Tips‹.
Not enough ground espresso
in the filter
Measure with the measurring spoon a sufficient
amount of coffee powder; see ›Preparing the Espresso‹.
Ground espresso not tamped
firmly enough
Tamp the ground espresso more firmly in the filter;
