the heating indicator lights red. Once the appliance is ready for use, the heating
indicator turns off.
Note:
The pumping noise could be a little louder when the appliance is turned on for the
first time, because the thermal system and all inside pipes in the appliance have
to be filled with water. Once the appliance is ready for operation and the systems
are filled with water, the appliance operates quieter.
ATTENTION:
When operating the appliance, always ensure that the water tank
is filled.
FILLING THE WATER TANK
1. Lift the cover of the water tank upwards. You can lift the water tank by the open
lid. Fill the water tank with clean, running cold water.
ATTENTION:
When operating the appliance, always ensure that the water
level in the water tank is between the filling marks MIN (100 ml) and MAX (1500 ml).
Check the water level every time before turning the appliance on and fill with fresh
water if nessecary. Do not turn the appliance on when too little water in the tank
(below the fill mark 100 ml). Always use tap water for the appliance. Never fill the
appliance with any mineral water or distilled (demineralized) water. Do not overfill
the water tank. The content must not exceed the fill line 1500 ml.
Note:
After using the steam wand or if the appliance was in operation without any water
in the water tank, it may be that no water comes through the grouphead. In this
case, follow the steps in section ›Preparing the Appliance for Operation‹.
2. Place the filled water tank again into the appliance. Make sure that the guide
grooves on the back of the water tank are engaged the cutouts in the back of
the appliance. Press the tank down so that the water valve opens in the bottom
of the water tank.
Note:
When pushing down the tank you will see that the valve cover opens upwards.
Position the steam wand towards the drip tray.
IMPORTANT:
Take care not to spill any water when inserting the water tank.
