Resetting default settings
The machine has the following
default settings:
1. Temperature – 93°C
2. Pre-Infusion – Duration Pr07
3. Pre-Infusion – Power PP60
4. Steam temperature - 135°C
5. Machine Audio - LO
6. CLEAN ME! alert - OFF
7. Auto Start - OFF
8. Auto Start Time - 7.00am
9. Audio - LO
10. Water Hardness - 3
11. Espresso Volume durations –
30/30 secs
To reset machine to original default settings,
first enter Advanced Menu. rSET will be dis-
played on the LCD. Press the MENU button
to reset the machine to the default settings.
The machine will beep 3 times to confirm.
The machine will then prompt you to set
the water hardness. Select your water hard-
ness using the UP & DOWN arrows & press
MENU to confirm or press EXIT to return to
STANDBY mode.
Descale (dESC)
Use this function to access the step by step
de-scale procedure.
Step 1 – Prepare for De-scale
a) Turn Machine off and allow to cool for 1
hour.
b) Remove portafilter and set aside.
c) With the machine OFF, press & hold the
1 CUP button, then press the POWER but-
ton.
d) Press the UP arrow to select ‘dESC’.
e) Press the MENU button to enter De-scale
Mode.
f) The LCD screen will leave ‘BLANK’, the1
cup button LED will illuminate. Do not
push the 1 cup button at this stage.
g) Empty water tank, remove water filter
then fill water tank with descale solution.
We advise decalcifying the machine on
a regular basis using »Gatroback Premi-
um Discaler« (Art.-No.: 98175).Fill tank
to max line with water and replace.
h) Ensure drip tray is empty and installed
into position. Place cloth on right side of
the drip tray to stop steam escaping.
NOTE:
Machine will exit and start up without
saving if no operation for 30 seconds or
user presses the EXIT button.
