PRECAUTION
Do not motor and sail if the heeling angle is greater than 10°
Any change in engine specification must respect the boat’s capacities and be carried out
by an engine technician specialized in marine mechanics.
Clean the anti-siphon loop valve at least once a year.
Locate the fuel feeding pump on the engine to be able to quickly operate if needed.
If the engine is a turbo one (optional), the turbo starts at 2200 rpm. Each 10 hours of
running, push the engine to his max for 3 minutes for cleaning the turbo.
Changing from drive to reverse (and vice-versa) must be done slowly, stopping in
neutral.
Depending on the type of propeller, the propeller manufacturer will advise whether to
engage the propeller or not when sailing. Refer to the propeller documentation.

10.1.
Launch/ trimming of the boat
WARNING
After the first launch check the tensioning of the rig and the plates of the centreboard
casing
Ensure that the seacock inlet for the seawater cooling circuit is open, and that there is
water coming out of the engine exhaust.
Ensure good ventilation of the engine compartment
10.2.
Engine oil and gear box oil
PRECAUTION
Regularly check that the level of oil for the engine and the gear box is sufficient.
During use of the engine, regularly check the bilge fan is in good working order and
ensure that the vents are not obstructed
Avoid contact with flammable materials and the hot engine parts.
Consult the engine’s instruction manual or your Volvo agent to find out the quantity of
oil necessary, the type of oil recommended as well as the frequency of the oil changes.
