EXAMPLE CHECK LIST
STARTING THE ENGINE:
Opening of the engine cooling inlet stopcock
Opening of the fuel stopcock
Check the engine oil level
Check the level of the cooling fluid
Check the level of the batteries
Check the tension of the alternator’s drive belt
Throttle control lever in neutral, clutch in neutral
Establish contact and preheat
Start
Test the water evacuation
Turn off alarms and warning lights
Let the engine heat up on tick over for 5 to 6 minutes
Check the water tightness of all the cooling systems for fuel, lubricant and
exhaust
Should you have any doubts or problems, consult the owner's manual, technical instructions,
plans or your retailer.
STOPPING THE ENGINE:
Slow the engine down for 5 minutes
Pull on the Arrêt/Stop lever
Turn off the ignition
Close the various stopcocks.

FILLING THE TANKS:
Extinguisher nearby
Engine off
Electrical equipment off
Deck hatches and portlights closed
Do not fill the tanks fully so as to allow room for the fuel to expand
