* When all Stations and Landings are assigned, the Station lights will pulse. This is the
end of the Learning and assigning stage.
3.
Final Transfer Stage:
Go to the Drive PCB and press the
Setup
button briefly and release it to terminate the
learning mode. Do not press the Setup button for more than 2 seconds.
* The third and last transfer mode will start and continue for 20-30 seconds indicated by
counter-clockwise rotating lights on the Call Stations.
* The “LEARN” LED will go off and the “TRANSFER” LED will be on during the transfer
mode.
When the lights stop flashing, the lift will change to normal operating mode
.
The CALL COM FLT (red) light will extinguish.
* The Drive PCB “NORMAL” (Green) LED will be lit and the Station lights will begin the
“Smart Light” operating mode.
Completing the Setup Procedure on a unit with the safety circuit open:
In many cases it will become necessary to do the Setup procedure after a board failure
or some other circumstance which leaves the conveyance in a condition where the
safeties are not engaged. This makes it difficult to complete the Setup procedure
because the lift will not travel with the safety circuits open. If this is the case, follow these
instructions:
After powering the lift up and waiting until the first transfer mode is completed, look at the
conveyance trouble-shooting indicators and identify those safeties that are not closed.
Usually the Arm safeties are the main concern. However, the side load safeties, if
supplied, as well as under-hanger sensing switches may need your attention in order to
start the Setup procedure. You must close all safety switches both external and internal
to the conveyance. Remember, if you bypass safeties to allow the lift to move, you are
creating a potential hazard to yourself and others as well as to the equipment. Always
exercise extreme caution under these circumstances. If you
run the lift temporarily with
the arms in the raised position, make sure that they do not hit any overhead structures
during travel.
After you have identified the safety circuits that are open, refer to the conveyance
schematics. The schematics will give you the board terminations for each safety switch.
Use a jumper wire to bypass the relevant safeties so that all safety lights are on.
