Loop the rope around the cog. Mount the cog cover in place and secure using the
screws provided. The two counter M8 counter-sunk screws provide additional support to
the Drive/Tube brackets. Make sure that the wiring is not in the way when the cover is
secured.
Install the wiring between the Drive and the control box in accordance with the
schematics. Size the main conductors so that they can accommodate the 1.5 Hp Drive.
Use Armored flexible conduit cut to the appropriate length and with enough room to
accommodate the rope signal, Ground and upper final limit conductors. These are wired
into the junction box under the cog cover plate. It’s not a regular box, but rather an
irregular shaped enclosure with room to allow you to make the connections and attach
the conduit.
Connect the wiring between the upper Drive and the controller. A terminal Strip is
provided inside the box under the Motor cover. The terminals are the Push-and-insert
type. When completing the wiring, make sure that the three Motor phases and the
Sensor wires are connected the right way to prevent a sensor error from being detected.
