Use
minimum
20AWG (0.5mm

) stranded conductors to wire in the lifts safety
circuits and call stations. Use color or numbered wires and run a few spares if
possible. Wire the mains and call stations in accordance with all local and federal
building and fire codes. A licensed electrician may be required.
Complete the field wiring in accordance with the electrical drawings supplied in the
installation package. The following diagram shows a typical arrangement, but note that
no two systems are the same; you must choose the most effective method of wiring in
your situation. To make the connections, press a small,
⅛
” screwdriver into the access
hole on top of the terminal, insert the conductor and release. Ensure that the terminal
clamps onto the wire,
not the insulation
.
Figure 19 shows a typical field wiring system for an
Artira
. No two field arrangements are
the same, so this is an example only. Check the lift for extra options and any special
requirements. Wire the lift in accordance with local electrical codes. Use appropriate
sized conduit and fittings. Route wiring away from mounting systems such as towers and
mounting brackets. Always color code or number the wiring and note the details on the
lift schematic. Leave the schematic in the drive box for future reference.
