Installation
Preparation
1. Ensure the computer to be connected to the computer module is switched off. If
the computer is provided with keyboard and mouse, unplug the cables of the
input devices from the interfaces.
2. Place the computer module (
DP1.2-VisionXG-Fiber-CPU
) close to the computer.
3. Place the user module ( DP1.2-VisionXG-Fiber-CON ) close to the remote console.
4. Take the supplied cables and place them ready for installing the devices.
IMPORTANT: The devices use components with laser technology complying with
laser class 1.
They meet the requirements in accordance to EN 60825-1:2014 as well as
U.S. CFR 1040.10 and 1040.11 .
Mind the following safety instructions regarding laser technology:
 Avoid direct eye exposure to beam on page 4
 Always connect optical connections or cover them with protection caps on page 4
IMPORTANT: When choosing a location for the device, please ensure to comply
with the ambient temperature limit (see
Technical data
on page 63 ff.) close to the
device. The ambient temperature limit must not be influenced by other devices.
When installing the devices, make sure to only place a maximum of three devices
directly on top of each other. This way, a good circulation of air is provided and
mutual thermal interference can be avoided. After having installed three devices,
provide for a distance (at least 2 cm).
IMPORTANT: Since the MC3 and MC4 device variants use heat pipes, these devices
must be installed in such a way that the front panel is never below the rear panel.
In addition, the unslotted side profile must not be positioned above the slotted side
profile.
NOTE: Please mind the maximum cable length of two metres between the com-
puter module and the computer to be connected.

module and the devices of the user console.
