Chapter 6: Adding a new Load/Power Supply to Framework
6-16
Key Name
Type
Required
Description
CalCellValue
Float
YES
This is the calibration cell value, in ohms.
CalCell
String
YES
This is the description of the calibration cell which is
used to tell the user what connection to make.
VchRange
Float
YES
This is the voltage, in volts, used to set the Vch range on
the IFC1010 instrument. For the calibration, the range is
usually set to the x1 gain or the 3 V range.
IchRange
Float
YES
This is the voltage, in volts, used to set the Ich range on
the IFC1010 instrument. For the calibration, the range is
usually set to the x1 gain or the 3 V range.
IAppliedScan0
Float
YES
This is the current, in Amps, applied using the 0.4 V Scan
DAC range. Note that the voltage to achieve a specified
current varies with each power device. In the case of the
NF BP4610 power supply, 1.0 V gives 10 Amps of
current. The request of 0.3 V will give 3 Amps of current,
well within the capability of the power device and the
dummy cell.
IAppliedScan1
Float
YES
This is the current, in Amps, applied using the 1.6 V Scan
DAC range. Note that the voltage to achieve a specified
current varies with each power device. In the case of the
NF BP4610 power supply, 1.0 V gives 10 Amps of
current. The request of 0.3 V will give 3 Amps of current,
well within the capability of the power device and the
dummy cell.
IAppliedScan2
Float
YES
This is the current, in Amps, applied using the 6.4 V Scan
DAC range. Note that the voltage to achieve a specified
current varies with each power device. In the case of the
NF BP4610 power supple, 1.0 V gives 10 Amps of
current. The request of 0.5 V will give 5 Amps of current,
well within the capability of the power device and the
dummy cell.
TApplied
Float
YES
This is the time, in seconds, that each IApplied is applied
to the cell.
TRest
Float
YES
This is the time, in seconds, that the calibration routine
waits between each IApplied. This is to help alleviate
any temperature buildup in the calibration resistor.
Enabled
Integer
YES
The enabled field is used to tell the calibration routine if
this calibration is active for the power device. If the
calibration is disabled, the previous values are not used.
0 = Disabled
1 = Enabled
