During the heater cycle, do not open the heater clamp or lid. This may
cause a shrinking error.

Remove the fiber from the heater, and inspect the splice protection
sleeve.

WARNING
STOP using the fusion splicer when problems are experienced with
the protection sleeve heater. Turn off the power immediately,
disconnect the power cord, remove the battery, and contact our
service center.
DO NOT touch the heater element during the heater cycle and right
after the heat process is complete. The element is very hot and
may burn you.
Decrease the heating
temperature.
Extend the heating time.
