The cartridge is not
ejected.
• Press the eject button. It may take several minutes to rewind the tape.
Wait if the ACTIVITY LED is blinking.
• Eject from the backup software. Eject using the eject button is set to
be disabled depending on the backup software.
• Shutdown and restart the server. Then, press the eject button (Data
may not be recorded correctly when the power on/off).
ACTIVITY LED turns
off and FAULT LED is
blinking (Unrecoverable
error).
If possible, shutdown the server and restart.
Both ACTIVITY LED
and FAULT LED are
blinking (Media error).
• Check that the cartridge is correct.
• Check that the write-protect switch of the cartridge is set at the cor-
rect position (either write inhibit or write enable).
• Check that there is no damage to the cartridge.
• Perform cleaning and use a new cartridge.
