Preliminary—Subject to Change Without Notice
with one clock domain only. The GCP output signal is prescaled by the value defined in
according to the WSPRE[0:7] bits in EMIOSWSC2[n] register. Prescaler is enabled by setting the CPREN
bit in the EMIOSWSC1[n] register and can be stopped at any time by clearing this bit, thereby stopping
the T16PWCNT counter in the Wheel Speed Channel. The global prescaler can be disabled too, thus
disabling clock divisions for the channel. Note that the global prescaler affects not only the Wheel Speed
Channel but all eMIOS200 channels.
In order to ensure safe working and avoid glitches the following steps must be performed whenever any
update in the prescaling rate is desired:
1. Write 0 at both GPREN bit in EMIOSMCR register and CPREN bit in EMIOSWSC1[n] register,
thus disabling prescalers;
2. Write the desired value for prescaling rate at WSPRE[0:7] bits in EMIOSWSC2[n] register;
3. Enable channel prescaler by writing 1 at CPREN bit in EMIOSWSC1[n] register;
4. Enable global prescaler by writing 1 at GPREN bit in EMIOSMCR register.
The prescaler is not disabled during either freeze state or negated GTBE input.

Effect of Freeze on the Wheel Speed Channel
Freeze state is entered when FRZ and FREN control bits are set and ipg_debug signal is asserted.
The only difference on behavior of Wheel Speed Channel between Freeze state and Disable mode sits in
the Freeze state entry: both T16PWCNT[0:15] and EVCNT[0:7] counters are stopped but not cleared.
Once Freeze state has been entered the behavior of Wheel Speed Channel in similar to that in Disable
mode.
T16PWCNT[0:15], EVCNT[0:7], EVENT[0:7], EMIOSWSC1[0:31], EMIOSWSC2[0:31],
EMIOSWSS[0:31] registers can be read/written through SkyBlue-Line.
Flags are not cleared at Disable mode entry. They can be cleared on DMA transfer or through EMIOSWSS
register proper write. Reading/writing registers other than EMIOSWSS does not clear flags.
All edge detectors (PW and CAP) are disabled regardless of EDPOLCAP, EDSELCAP bits of
EMIOSWSC1[n] and EDPOLPW, EDSELPW bits of EMIOSWSC2[n] registers. All matches and their
respective flags are disabled.
T24CAPA[0:23], T24CAPB[0:23], T24CAPB1[0:23], T16PWCAP[0:15], T24CAPEV[0:23] capture
registers are not writable and their states are frozen. The coherency between T24CAPA[0:23] and
T24CAPB[0:23] is not guaranteed. does not exist.

IP Bus Interface Unit (BIU)
The BIU provides the interface between the Internal Interface Bus (IIB) and the Peripheral Bus, allowing
communication among all submodules and this IP interface.
The BIU allows 8, 16 and 32 bits access. They are performed over a 32-bit data bus in a single cycle clock.
