Update the Software

shows. This is the date the module was first used. This is typical
for new modules.
If the first use was more than 6 months after calibration, the
Calibration Start Date
is the date the module was calibrated,
plus 6 months. For example, if the module was manufactured
and calibrated on February 1st, 2015, but not used until October
1st, 2015, the
Calibration Start Date
is August 1st, 2015.
To keep the module in calibration, send it to an authorized
service center within 12 months of the
Calibration Start Date
(or the
Calibration Date
if the
Calibration Start Date
is not
shown).
Update the Software
New software gives you access to new features and the latest test
limits and cable types. Software updates are available on the
Fluke Networks website.
You can use a PC to install a software update, or connect an
updated main tester to a remote or to another main tester to
update those testers.
You can also use LinkWare Live to download a software update
from the cloud to your main tester, then use the main tester and
a USB cable to install the update in the remote.
About Versiv and Versiv 2 Update Files
Software update files have these extensions:

Versiv testers: .cic
 Versiv 2 testers: .ci2
The update files are not interchangeable. LinkWare PC and
LinkWare Live let you install only the correct file in your Versiv or
Versiv 2 tester.
