7.1.4.4 Connection of an active input
For the connection of a passive current source to a passive current input, an external
power supply has to be provided.
If the transmitter has an active output, the output can be used as power supply by means
of an adapter. For the connection of the adapter see Fig. 7.9 and Tab. 7.4.
The adapter establishes the connection between the active output and the passive input
of the transmitter. At the same time, the passive current source is connected via the
adapter.
