4.5.2 Configuring DeviceNet slave features (EDS)

When  using  a  new  DeviceNet  slave  for  the  first  time,  the  con
figuration  program  must  be  provided  with  the  particular  fea
tures  of  that  slave.  The  features  of  the  various  slaves  are
usually  administrated  by  the  configuration  program  in  a  list
or  library,  e.g.  EDS  library"  (EDS  =  Electronic  Data  Sheets).

The following options are available to expand an EDS li
brary":

install EDS files

enter slave features manually

Install EDS files

CD−ROM

A  CD−ROM  is  included  with  this  manual  to  expand  the  EDS
library.  The  CD−ROM  contains  an  EDS  file  and  an  image  file
(Icon  and  Bitmap)  for  the  valve  terminal.
