General instructions on commissioning

Before  commissioning  or  programming,  compile  a  configur
ation  list  of  all  connected  field  bus  slaves.  On  the  basis  of  this
list,  you  can:

carry  out  a  comparison  between  the  NOMINAL  and  the
ACTUAL  configurations  ,  in  order  to  ascertain  if  there  are
any  connection  faults

access these specifications during the syntax check of a
program, in order to avoid addressing errors.

Configuration  of  the  CP  system  requires  a  very  accurate  pro
cedure,  as  different  configuration  specifications  are  required
for  each  system,  due,  amongst  other  things,  to  the  modular
structure  of  each  system.  Please  comply  with  the  instructions
in  the  following  sections.

The accompanying CD−ROM includes product−specific icons
and some DeviceNet EDS files for the Festo valve terminals.
