Application and operation
Note
Excitation of the natural oscillation of the toothed belt via the plunger by means of a force stimulus is possible with
the test equipment in all positions due to the absence of non-captive parts and the 2-spring system in the plunger
housing. Space permitting, there are no restrictions with respect to the position of the toothed belt axis when using
the test equipment.
The test equipment can be secured using fastening clamps if necessary for testing from below or with the toothed belt
axis in an inclined or vertical installation position.
The toothed belt pretension is determined by measuring the basic oscillation
(natural frequency) of the toothed belt with a fixed and freely oscillating strand
length (L). The distance from the clamping body to one of the drive covers (L1)
is set by inserting the test equipment and the corresponding stop bolt. The
oscillation measurement is then performed using the test equipment.

Preparing the toothed belt axis
6.1.1
Checking the piston distance (DGE-…-ZR(-KF) only)

Check the distance between the piston and clamp piece (X) and adjust it if
necessary (see table).

Inserting clamp pieces (DGE-25/40-ZR-RF only)
Note
It is imperative to attach an additional clamp piece to the toothed belt axes
DGE-25-ZR-RF and DGE-40-ZR-RF so that the toothed belt can oscillate freely
and does not strike the cylinder barrel.
•
If necessary, push the relevant clamp piece through the recess in the cylinder
barrel between the toothed belt and the cylinder barrel. It must touch the
clamping body.
