Planing with 45° inclined guide
Rest the workpiece with your right hand against the
inclined guide.
Press the guard horizontally with your left hand so that
it just touches the workpiece and tighten the locking
lever with your right hand. In this way the guard is
locked sideways and the workpiece can not slide away
from the rail (see Figure 32).

Keep the workpiece pressed against the outout table
and with the left hand clenched into a fist push it
forward with the right hand closed (see Figure 33).

Strip planing
Adjust the guard as for surface planing, and pay particular attention while pushing the
workpiece.
