To adjust the thickness to be planed with the machine in the "lipping" configuration, the
height of the input and output tables must be adjusted, with respect to the blade shaft that is
fixed.
To adjust the height of the tables proceed as follows:
1. act on the adjustment knobs (ref. G in figure 19), until the desired height has been
reached, as indicated by the respective graduated scales (ref. F);
2. secure the tables by tightening the rear locking counter nuts.
To operate correctly it is necessary to adjust the side guide (ref. C), depending on the size
(width) of the piece to be planed. The possible settings are:
horizontal shift forward or backward;
45° inclination.
To move the side guide forward or back, it is necessary to unlock the locking knob of the
guide (ref. B), position the guide to the desired distance, and then re-lock the knob.
The side guide may be inclined at 90° or 45° with respect to the horizontal surface of the
tables. To set the guide, the locking levers need to be unlocked (ref. A), tilt the guide to the
desired position, then re-lock the levers.
To work safely adjust and secure the “bridged” guard of the cutterhead (ref. M in figure 20).
The guard must first be overturned onto the blade, in the direction "a".
Subsequently, the guard must be adjusted by acting on the adjustment knobs (ref. I) in
direction "b", to adapt the guard to the height of the table and the blade shaft.

Finally adjust the guard to adapt it to the dimensions of the workpiece, unlocking the knob
(ref. L) and moving the guard in the direction "c", and then securely lock the knob.
